Karantis360 is a Volvo Visionary!

Working with Volvo, The Sunday Times compiled a list of visionary entrepreneurs and companies that are working to make the world a better place.

We’re thrilled that out of all the new visionary companies, Karantis360 came in as the runner-up!

Having struggled to help her family look after her grandad in old age, company founder Dempster looked at how technology could make the experience easier for others.

In the UK, there are 12 million people over the age of 65, many of whom would like to stay in their own homes in later life or when receiving care. Working with IBM, using cloud and Internet of Things technologies, Karantis360 has created an app that uses sensors and artificial intelligence to monitor the care of older people in their own home, allowing them to live independently for longer and enabling caregivers to provide increased care when and where it’s needed.

Hospitals can release patients earlier knowing that they’re being monitored, and families can be confident that their relatives are being well looked after.
